Harmony
Day

O’Connor Primary School celebrates Harmony Day every year - a day that provides an opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the multiculturalism of our school community. The focus of the occasion is to promote inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all of our students and families. Traditionally, students are encouraged to wear orange on the day to signify meaningful communication and the freedom of ideas. At OPS we support cultural diversity and recognise that it is one of our greatest strengths, which makes this a great place to go to school. Harmony Day provides opportunities for students to participate in some fun activities around the oldest continuous culture of our first Australians to the cultures of our newest arrivals from around the world.
