NAIDOC
Week
NAIDOC Week celebrations are held at O’Connor Primary School each year to celebrate the history, culture, language and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. NAIDOC Week is celebrated not only by our Indigenous students, but by our entire school community. The week is a great opportunity for the students to participate in a range of activities and to support our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. NAIDOC Week at O’Connor Primary School often involves parent volunteers, visitors from local organisations and agencies, as well as hands-on experiences that provide an insight into cultural traditions.
