STEM

STEM is an integrated approach of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics used by educators at O’Connor Primary School to teach 21st Century skills. These skills include collaboration, innovation, critical thinking, flexibility, data interpretation and creativity.

In an increasingly technological and complex world, it is important to develop knowledge and skills using an integrated STEM approach to analyse and creatively respond to design and/or digital challenges. STEM also helps students to becoming active citizens, capable of creatively and ethically communicating and collaborating.
